Born on the 10th of May 1993 in Cabuyao Laguna, Charice Pempengco, or Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco has become one of the most renowned and celebrated young singers of our generation due to her popular and incredible renditions of songs all viewed and favored in YouTube. She has now become a sensation in the international music scene. Her unbelievable vocals had made others intrigued and Charice Pempengco was invited to make her public appearances, both in local and international programs.
Charice Pempengco had her humble beginnings in various singing contests when she was still seven. In 2005, she joined ABS-CBN’s Little Big Star wherein she landed third place during the final round. Consequently, Pempengco was invited to make her personal appearance in Ellen DeGeneres show, where she gained a standing ovation on her live performances of “I Will Always Love You” and “And I am Telling You (I’m Not Going)”.
