charice pempengcoBorn on the 10th of May 1993 in Cabuyao Laguna, Charice Pempengco, or Charmaine Clarice Relucio Pempengco has become one of the most renowned and celebrated young singers of our generation due to her popular and incredible renditions of songs all viewed and favored in YouTube. She has now become a sensation in the international music scene. Her unbelievable vocals had made others intrigued and Charice Pempengco was invited to make her public appearances, both in local and international programs.

Charice Pempengco had her humble beginnings in various singing contests when she was still seven. In 2005, she joined ABS-CBN’s Little Big Star wherein she landed third place during the final round. Though she didn’t make it as a big winner, her popularity and audience grew bigger as her videos of her performing Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You” and her face-off encounter with Bianca Ryan in America’s Got Talent” invade the YouTube arena. This paved way to an opportunity to record an album in Sweden in 2007, which will be released soon. After that, Pempengco’s video of her singing “And I am Telling You (I’m Not Going)”, Pempengco was invited by to perform in an international show in Korea, Star King, and earn herself more admirers and was invited to perform in several concerts and TV shows. Her astounding performances in Star King created a huge buzz in E!’s The Daily 10, Hollywood Royalty, and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Consequently, Pempengco was invited to make her personal appearance in Ellen DeGeneres show, where she gained a standing ovation on her live performances of “I Will Always Love You” and “And I am Telling You (I’m Not Going)”.
